Cooking with Superfood Spirulina

Cooking with Superfood Spirulina can be fun and very tasty! 

If you are choosing to use Spirulina powder in your culinary creations, or just sprinkled on you dinner salad, you will find a new zest and excitement with your food. It's easy, nutritious and colourful. As you integrate Spirulina powder in your diet, you will be able to see how versatile and beneficial a food it can be.

Here are a few simple guidelines to follow...

If you are just beginning to use Spirulina powder, use 1-2 tsp. per recipe until you adjust to the taste. 

Add Spirulina towards the end of the cooking process, as the most benefit will be received the less it is heated. You can add it to any of your existing recipes. It is a dry ingredient so add it to the recipe accordingly.

1 level teaspoon = Approx. 2 grams

1 Heaped teaspoon = approx. 6 grams

1 level Dessertspoon = Approx. 4 grams
1 Heaped Dessertspoon = approx. 12 grams
1 level Tablespoon = Approx. 8 grams
1 Heaped Tablespoon = approx. 18 grams
