The goal of GourmetOrigins.com is to open a “virtual window” to the best
foods in Europe and the places where they come from and that contribute
so much to their uniqueness, hence our map-based approach. We are now
taking this approach further with the addition of a Google Earth feature
to our maps. You just need to download Google Earth . Once you have it,
every time you visit a food page, here is one example, the food page for
Siurana DOP olive oil from Catalonia, you will be able to select the
“Earth” view on the map (this option is still not available on
individual producer’s pages but it will be soon). The best way to use it
is to play around with the control buttons…you will see…it’s pretty
amazing!
