Food is something we all need to survive, but somehow it has become a way for us to express our likes and dislikes with fast food restaurants and classy upscale dinning. The sad truth is we need to work better jobs and more hours each week just to afford these food luxuries. The more we work our jobs the less time we have to prepare our own food at home. It has become a vicious circle that is very hard to break.
The biggest tragedy of this evolution is that we are teaching our children that this is the way it’s supposed to be with our actions. I believe this is one of the main reasons that the obesity rate in our children is higher now than it’s ever been and our children our predicted to be the first in many years to live shorter lives than the previous generation. Some serious changes need to be made in order to reverse this trend.
I wrote a book that is a basic, easy-to-follow guide to help us all get back to growing our own food, preserving it and most importantly easy to prepare healthy, homemade meals. To get more information on my book go to www.GrowItSaveItUseIt.com
